Booking a band for a wedding or corporate event. Always ask whether there are any additional costs for a sound system, lighting etc. These costs should be explained up-front. You can often reduce costs by arranging your own supplier for lights and PA. Consider holding your event on a different day of the week to saturday night. This is the busiest (and therefore most expensive) night for most bands. Definitely aim to book at least 6 weeks in advance of an event. Ask if travel costs are included in the cost Do provide food and drink for the band - especially if they are traveling long distances Ask to hear a sample of the music!
